Aid For Students: Ministries Provide Solar Panels And Related Equipment

Ministry of Border Affairs and Ministry of Ethnic Affairs jointly provided assistance in Kayin State. For villages in Thandaunggyi and Leiktho  areas of northern Kayin State, the ministries provided 100 sets of 90W solar panels and related equipment.

During this assistance provision ceremony at the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw, Union Minister U Saw Tun Aung Myint said the solar panels and equipment are mainly for students for their studies and plans are underway to establish an ethnic affairs and vocational training school in Taunggyi of Shan State.

Deputy Ministers also gave speeches. In this ceremony, 40 solar panels and related equipment were provided for Kyaukgyi and Thabyaynyunt village-tracts, 30 solar panels and related equipment for Leiktho Village-tract, 20 solar panels and related equipment for Thandaung Village-tract and 10 solar panels and related equipment for the Shan literature and culture group.

After the ceremony, the Union Minister and attendees visited the booths displaying traditions, customs, traditional musical instruments and utensils.
