






Kayah State Government on Thursday held a ceremony in Loikaw to provide rice and cooking oil to temporarily displaced persons affected by terrorist incidents, which was attended by Chief Minister U Ant Maw.
During his opening remarks, the Chief Minister stated that the state government is providing basic food supplies, specifically rice and cooking oil, to help ease the living and dietary needs of residents from Shadaw and Mese who were forced to leave their homes due to the fighting and are currently staying in Loikaw.
He added that in accordance with the guidance of the Head of State, relevant departments are actively implementing rehabilitation, regional development, and project goals with full momentum in Demoso, Hpruso, and Bawlakhe townships. He urged everyone to work together in unity so that all displaced persons can return to their communities as quickly as possible and resume their original livelihoods, and to contribute to the maximum extent possible in their respective roles toward the government's peacebuilding efforts.Afterward, the Chief Minister provided the rice and oil, which were accepted by the respective representatives. And, a representative on behalf of the attendees delivered a word of thanks.
