Aid Provision: Cash Provided to Volunteer Organizations and the Elderly

Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided aid to volunteer organizations and the elderly aged above 85 on Sunday.

In this aid provision ceremony in Pyay of Bago Region to the volunteer organizations and the elderly in Pyay and Tharawaddy districts, Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khaing gave remarks, and, also, Deputy Minister U Aung Tun Khaing and member of Bago Region Administration Council U Aung Min explained purpose of the aid provision.

There, over 550 million Kyats for 11 volunteer organizations and 15,714 persons aged above 85 in Pyay and Tharawaddy districts of Bago Region were handed over to the member of Bago Region Administration Council and concerned officials. The officials provided the cash aid to representatives of the volunteer organizations and the elderly.

Also, in Pyay Township, the Union Minister and officials attended the meeting with ministry staff from Pyay and Tharawaddy districts of Bago Region, and, gave remarks. The Union Minister and Deputy Minister also visited drug rehabilitation center (WetHtiKan) and gave remarks to officials and trainees of treatment and rehabilitation training No. 2/2021.

The officials looked around the center, inspected preparations for construction of a staff housing and gave necessary instructions for the construction – the 2-storey housing is designed to be 144 feet long, 40 feet wide and 24 feet high.
