Agriculture Sector: Dy Minister Holds Meetings, Makes Inspections

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi held a meeting with regional and district level officials from Mandalay Region at the Mandalay Region Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department.
This meeting focused on goals of the department and completion of work for the 2022-2023 financial year, farming of animals and production of livestock products, cattle disease vaccination and artificial insemination activities, establishment of livestock breeding zones, inspection of animal feed, medicines, farming demonstration and research farms and health inspection conditions for export.
After the meeting, the Deputy Minister inspected lab tasks of the Mandalay Region Department. At the Institute of Agriculture in Patheingyi Township, he inspected the teaching aid farms of the institute. Also, during the trip, the Deputy Minister discussed conservation of fish resources, development of value-added finished product production based on agricultural and livestock products, increasing private sector's investment and systematic use of irrigation water.
