Agriculture Sector: Demonstration Of Planting Using No-Plough Seeding Equipment

Demonstration of planting using no-plough seeding equipment took place in Medi Village of Dhakhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council area and was attended by Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo and many other officials.

There, the Union Minister stressed that planting with the use of no-plough seeding equipment can save cost and advantages including environmental compatibility. It is especially suitable in the area where the winter beans are planted after the rainy season. Farmers, growers and concerned officials need to work hand in hand. And, the transition to mechanization is necessary to produce crops in time, to overcome the shortage of farm workers and to produce more quality crops, the Union Minister added.

Also, director general of the Agricultural Mechanization Department explained aim of the demonstration and advantages of planting with the use of no-plough seeding equipment. Farmers and growers also raised questions and the director general answered.

And, the Union Minister and officials watched the demonstration of planting with the use of no-plough seeding equipment.
