Agriculture and Livestock Breeding: MOALI Union Minister tours in Kayin State

For agricultural development in Kayin State, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung visited Agriculture and Livestock Institute (Hpa-An) on November 6th.

During the meeting with the principal and teachers, the Union Minister stressed the pivotal role of the Agriculture and Veterinary institutes for nurturing skillful workers in implementing the development of country’s agro-based industry. He urged students to become reliable individuals in providing services to the farmers according to their profession subjects, contributing to the country’s food sufficiency.

The Union Minister instructed to fulfill the necessaries for the students who are willing to continue studying for agriculture and veterinary sciences at  the University of Agriculture and Livestock (Maubin).

Then, the Union Minister inspected the classrooms of the university and gave necessary instructions to the officials. 

The Union Minister later proceeded to Livestock Zone (Mizan) and viewed piggery and goat farming, met with the private businessmen, gave necessary instructions and assisted livestock medicines.
