Agricultural Development: Meeting with farmers & preparations for universities opening

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo met with the farmers in BaeKone Village of Pobbathiri Township on Sunday.

The farmers were demonstrated the use of Zero Tillage Cultivation Machine, which could tackle the scarcity of labour force and reduce the agriculture cost and carbon emission.

The Union Minister also discussed with the farmers for the use of inputs correctly, extended implementation of mechanized farming and reducing the production cost.

The Union Minister later arrived at the plantation of Yayzin Agriculture Research Department, and discussed the preparation measures for opening of the universities.

He later inspected the lecture rooms, hostels and preparation measures for opening of the universities. First Year (Second Semester) and the regular academic year courses of Yayzin Agricultural University and Veterinary Science University will be opened on 14th November and First Year (First Semester) for those who passed the 2022 matriculation exams on the 21st.
