ADMM Retreat: Union Minister Joins ADMM Retreat And Related Meetings

Myanmar delegation led by State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo joined the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Retreat (ADMM Retreat), ASEAN-ROK Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting and ASEAN-Australia Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting via videoconferencing together with officials on Wednesday.
The ADMM Retreat was hosted by Brunei Darussalam.
During the meeting, the ASEAN Defence Ministers exchanged views on “regional security challenges emerging during the COVID-19 outbreak and future cooperation priorities of ADMM”.
Moreover, during the ASEAN-ROK Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting and ASEAN-Australia Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting, the leaders openly discussed the bilateral cooperation between the ASEAN countries and these two countries for defence and security affairs and other future activities.
Then, Minister of Defence II of Brunei Darussalam handed over the 2022 Chairmanship to the Minister of Defence of Cambodia.
