77th Republic Day of India: Union Ministers attended the dinner reception

The reception commemorating the 77th Republic Day of India was held at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon at 6:30 p.m. on January 26.

Attending the reception were Union Minister for the Ministry of Border Affairs and for the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and his wife, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and his wife, the Yangon Region Chief Minister and his wife, the Commander of Yangon Region Command and his wife, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and his wife, Region Ministers, Ambassadors, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim, and Defense Attachés from foreign embassies in Yangon and other invited guests.

First, Mr. Abhay Thakur, the Ambassador of India to Myanmar, and officials warmly welcomed and greeted Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and his wife, as well as all attendees of the reception. Subsequently, the ceremony was opened with the national anthems of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of India.

Following this, the Ambassador of India to Myanmar and Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae delivered greeting speeches. Continuing, Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and his wife, along with the Ambassador of India to Myanmar and his wife, cut the cake commemorating the 77th Republic Day of India. Afterwards, the Union Minister and his wife, and the Ambassador and his wife took a commemorative group photo with the distinguished guests attending the reception, and the Ambassador hosted a dinner banquet, it’s reported.
