74th Anniversary: SAC Members Attend Kachin State Day Celebration

Members of the State Administration Council (SAC), union ministers and many other high ranking officials attended celebration of the 74th Anniversary of Kachin State Day on Monday in the Kachin State Government Office compound.

This event began with reading out the message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and a speech by Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan. It continued with the SAC members, union ministers and many other high ranking officials taking part in the Manaw Dance performance.

They also visited exhibition halls displaying departmental and local items and products in commemoration of the 74th Anniversary of Kachin State Day.

Also, the SAC members, union ministers and many other high ranking officials attended the opening ceremony of Myanmar traditional martial art ‘Thaing’ training at the stadium in Myitkyina. They also presented certificates of honour and cash assistance to those who made efforts for the training before enjoying the traditional martial art ‘Thaing’ performance. At the City Hall, in commemoration of the 74th Anniversary of Kachin State Day, the SAC members, union ministers and many other high ranking officials certificates of honour and honourary gifts to 271 persons who conducted outstanding works for Kachin State.

They also paid homage to Shwe Moe Taung Pagoda in Waingmaw Township and Su Taung Pyae Pagoda and Ann Taw Shin Pagoda in Myitkyina and donated offertories.

Later the day, in the State Government Office compound, they took part in the Manaw Dance performance and enjoyed the dinner in commemoration of the 74th Anniversary of Kachin State Day.
