38th Hundred Flowers Awards kicks off in Beijing

The 38th Hundred Flowers Awards officially kicked off with its opening ceremony at Beijing's Chaoyang Park on Friday. The event featured a retrospective dance by actress Liu Haocun and a special appearance by actress Zhu Xijuan, the first-ever Best Actress winner in 1962.

Returning to its birthplace after 28 years, the four-day event features citywide film screenings, themed forums discussing artificial intelligence-generated content in cinema, and final award winners selected by a 101-member audience jury.
