3 people killed in South Korea's overpass collapse

South Korean authorities said that three people were killed and three others injured in Seoul on Tuesday when a decades-old overpass partially collapsed during a demolition and safety inspection.

The accident happened when a section of the bridge deck caved in, trapping workers and officials beneath heavy slabs of concrete. Some debris fell onto nearby railway lines, causing the Korea Railroad Corp to briefly suspend some train services bound for Seoul Station.
