1.43 million mainland tourists expected to visit HK in the Lunar New Year

Hong Kong’s Immigration Department expected 1.43 million mainland Chinese tourists will visit Hong Kong during the Lunar New Year period. Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism expressed optimism about the market during the Lunar New Year, noting that hotel bookings are nearly full.

After the fireworks were announced, and the Jockey Club announced extra activities, hotel bookings and prices rose again. She said many tourists love to visit Hong Kong for outings, adding special measures are in place at several hot spots during the Lunar New Year.
