“INSPIRE” Program: Launched By Singapore Tourism Board

Singapore Tourism Board launched “INSPIRE” program at the Singapore- Myanmar Incentive Travel Forum 2019 in Yangon on 14th of September.

The annual Singapore- Myanmar Incentive Travel Forum aims to have a platform for Singapore Travel Trade network with the Myanmar Travel Trade and to expand Business Travel and Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (BTMICE) between stakeholders and entrepreneurs.

Director, Trade Engagement & New Markets, Soo Siew Keong said “If we are talking about the Travel Tourism Trade is a huge potential. I’ve been coming to Myanmar last 10 years. I see how Myanmar has progressed. And we can see not only into in terms of the economic progress is a lot social progress in the society. So, for 2017, we have 145,000 Myanmar people visiting to Singapore. And for 2018, the number is about the same…. And for first half of this year, we see 4.8 percent growth in terms of the Myanmar people visiting to Singapore. So, it is a huge chance for us. We see this is a positive trend.

The total number of Myanmar visitors to Singapore in the first half of 2019 increase 4.8 percent than the previous years.

Under the strong friendship and frequent exchange visit between Singapore and Myanmar, the program of this year also includes 60 unique complimentary experiences to MICE visitors to Singapore. The “INSPIRE” program also focused on product updates on Singapore’s top offerings in the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) space, as well as a panel discussion where industry experts shared their views on creativity and innovation in incentive travel-planning.
