Wiping out terrorists: Heavy military assault on the terrorists launched

The destructive medias are spreading distorted news and disinformation on the social network pages describing the local battalions and iron bridge at the entrance of the Mone Town of Kyaukkyi Township, Bago Region were gained control of KNLA and So-Called PDF terrorists after attacking by about 1500 forces of terrorists on December 3. 

The true incidence showed that KNLA and PDF terrorists carried out surprise attack against a local battalion with excessive force since the morning on December 3rd, but as the officers, men and women in uniform of the battalion countered systematically, the battle was raging fiercely till afternoon of December 4. Although they suffered heavy casualties, they fought again after reenforcing.

In the late evening, the units made a tactical temporary retreat to the proper location for the safety of the battalion families. The family members have to be relocated to the safe place with the assistance of Airforce. With the reinforcements of military columns, supporting of fire Power from fighter jets and heavy weapons after banding together, the Tatmadaw units fought back the terrorists in the morning on December 5.

The terrorists retreated in chaos to the north and east with heavy casualties in the afternoon. The local battalion which was temporarily taken over by the terrorists was retrieved by the military columns and the security measures are being conducting in Mone town. In the incident, some weapons from the terrorists were confiscated and some dead bodies of their members were found.

During the battle, some officers, ranks and family member women were captured by the terrorists. The military columns are clearing for the escape of those captures. In the morning on December 3rd, the terrorists attacked the local battalion, iron bridge security posts and town’s police station simultaneously to cut off the reinforcements and had armed engagement with a column which was carrying out security measures in the inner town and they retreated with heavy casualties.

But the terrorist sympathizer illegal medias broadcast the disinformation and fabricated news that the battalions, iron bridge at the entrance of the town and town itself were taken over with the intention of frightening the residents and creating regional disorder. The public are urged to be aware of the fabricated news of terrorist sympathizer illegal medias and the Tatmadaw columns will continue necessary striking back.
