Vietnam records trade surplus of over 16 billion USD

Vietnam’s import-export turnover in the first eight months of 2023 is estimated at 402 billion USD, with a trade surplus of over 16 billion USD.

According to the General Statistics Office, export revenue is estimated to reach 209 billion USD, while Vietnam spent about 193 billion US dollars on imports in the first eight months.

Four sectors exceeding a 1 billion USD export value include phones and components, electronics, computers and components, garments, textiles, and footwear.
