Thingyan in Mon State: Peaceful celebration across various townships

People in Mon State enjoyed the second day of Thingyan Festival peacefully on 14th April.
Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein and officials visited the Shwe Win WahPhooPandal and enjoyed the entertainment of Yein dance troupes. They also visited the Central Pandal on Strand Road of Mawlamyine and sprinkled water to the participants of entertainment programs.
Cash rewards were also provided to the Yein Dance troupes and vocalists. On the Thingyan Akya Day, revelers were thronged across various townships in Mon State, celebrating the traditional festival by throwing water and serving charity feasts.
