Sport Sector: State/Region Judo Competition and Awarding Ceremony

Members of the State Administration Council Porel Aung Thein, Dr. Ba Shwe, Khun San Lwin, U ShweKyein and U Yan Kyaw as well as union ministers and many other officials enjoyed the final match of the 2023-2024 State/Region Judo Competition and Awarding Ceremony on Friday afternoon at the WunnaTheikdhi Stadium (A) in Nay Pyi Taw.
In the final match, the Kachin State Team beat the Ayeyawaddy Region Team. And, awards were presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners in the U-52-Kilo Category women’s single event, in the U-66-Kilo Category men’s single event, in the U-57-Kilo Category women’s single event, in the U-73-Kilo Category men’s single event, in the U-63-Kilo Category women’s single event, in the U-57-Kilo Category women’s single event and in the over 63-Kilo Category women’s event as well as to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners in the Kata women’s event and in the men’s event.
Also, awards were presented to winners in team events and to the best female Judoka and male Judoka. The Trophy was awarded to the Kachin State Team. This 2023-2024 State/Region Judo Competition took place from the 8th to the 12th of January, attracting 14 men’s teams and 14 women’s teams with 266 Judoka.
