Social Welfare: Capacity Building Training & meeting UNHCR delegation

Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement conducted a capacity-building training for staff from training schools under the Social Welfare Department.

The opening ceremony, held in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday, was attended by Union Minister Dr. Soe Win. In his speech, the Union Minister emphasized the need for staff at these training schools to focus on social integration efforts for children arriving at the school for various reasons.

He stressed the importance of providing a warm and secure environment with systematic caring services to support the future development of society. He urged all to effectively utilize the lectures provided during the training in their practical work fields.

The two-day training course is attended by 40 trainees from 7 Child Care Centers and 16 Youth and Women Training Schools under the Social Welfare Department.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with the Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Myanmar, Ms. Noriko Takagi. They discussed matters related to providing assistance to displaced persons and future cooperation works.
