On Saturday, a free clinic was inaugurated in Myeik Township of Taninthayi Region through a collaborative effort between the Myeik Township Red Cross Supervisory Committee and its branch. Chief Minister U Myat Ko graced the opening ceremony and contributed 500,000 kyats to support the initiative.
The clinic will operate three days a week—on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday—from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, offering complimentary medical services to patients.
On Friday, Chief Minister U Myat Ko visited the Women Vocational Training School in Kuntheechaung Village, where he provided essential food items for the 44 trainees. This school focuses on vocational education for women under 18 years of age who require guardian services as per the Child Law.
Following this, the Chief Minister and party proceeded to the Midwifery Training School, where they met with trainees participating in the auxiliary midwifery training course. During the meeting, the Chief Minister encouraged the trainees to aspire to become reliable citizens, capable of providing essential healthcare services in the least developed rural areas.
