School family day: Taninthayi Region CM opened the celebration

Taninthayi Region school family day festival for 2023-2024 academic yeartook place in Dawei on Tuesday morning in the presence of Chief Minister U Myat Ko.

First, the festival was inaugurated by cutting the ceremonial ribbon by the Chief Minister, Region Chief Justice of State High Court and Region Minister for Social Affairs, along with stage performance of the students. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted that the purpose of festival is to develop human resources in building a modern developed democratic Union, to strengthen Union spirit, to turn out skilful citizens who could promote traditional culture and to make sector-wise cooperation efforts in national education promotion activities.

The festival was followed by prize awarding ceremony to 104 prize-winning students from various regional level competitions, involving 6 outstanding students from ICT and World Tourism Day commemorative competitions. He called on exerted efforts to all academic staff, parents and students for the promotion of the basic education sector.

And, the Chief Minister and party presented prizes to prize-winning students from central level and regional level competitions and enjoyed the student’s stage performance.
