Royal White Elephant: RatthaNandaka turns 1 year and 8 months

The royal white elephant RatthaNandaka, now at the age of 1 year and 8 months, stands proudly with four feet one inch, measuring 6 feet and 7 inches in girth, and weighing 1,243 pounds. This magnificent white elephant was born from a 33-year-old mother, Zar Nan Hla, residing at the Myanma Timber Enterprise in Taungup Township of Rakhine State on the 23rd of July 2022 at 6:30 am in the morning.

At birth, RatthaNandaka measured two feet and five inches in height, with a girth of three feet and one inch, and a weight of 180 pounds. His unique features include pearl-colored eyes, a plantain branch-shaped back, white hair, a distinctive tail, auspicious plot signs on the skin, reddish-brown or pinkish skin, five claws on the front legs, four claws on the back legs, and notably large ears. These characteristics align with seven out of eight recognized traits of a white elephant.

Currently residing at the Yadana White Elephant Hall in Nay Pyi Taw, RatthaNandaka enjoys a healthy and joyful life alongside his mother. This royal white elephant has been undergoing taming since childhood, undergoing training through the "Peace Human and Elephant Interaction Training" system to enhance his tameness further.
