Rice Mill Operation: Gasifier-Powered Rice Mill inspected

The Ministry of Science and Technology is providing necessary assistance for efficient use of gasifiers in cooperation with the MSMEs and the experts.

On Friday, Deputy Minister U Aung Zeya visited Dana Bala Rice Mill in Shwe Yaung Pya Village of Eain Me Township in Myaung Mya District of Ayeyawady Region. The mill is operating with the use of gasifier power, and the Deputy Minister and party oversaw the operation process.

The Gasifier power has been widely used mostly in Ayeyawady Region, followed by Sagaing Region, mainly for operating rice mills. Under the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection of the Ministry of Industry, a total of 412 gasifiers made private industrial registrations — 78 in Sagaing Region, 16 in Bago Region, two in Mandalay Region, 13 in Yangon, and 303 in Ayeyawady Region. Of 412 gasifiers, 319 are used in rice mill businesses and 21 in other industries.
