The Red Crescent set up field hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza

The Palestinian and Qatari Red Crescent set up a Qatari field hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza. The hospital, which they aim to open in a week, will have 50 beds, including an operating room and intensive care unit to address the healthcare needs of evacuees in the south of the Gaza Strip.

The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, Philippe Lazzarini, said that Gazans were "facing the darkest chapter of their history". He said they are "now crammed into less than one-third" of the territory, and hinted there could be an exodus to Egypt”.
