Over 1,500 personnel deploy to combat the wildfire

According to the Provincial Forest and Grassland Fire Prevention and Control Center of Sichuan, Fire department in southwest China’s Sichuan Province is now focusing on clearing the smoldering points of a wildfire in Kangding City, following the extinguishing of all active flames.

After nearly three hours of operation on Tuesday, the smoldering points at the fire site had been basically cleared. Then the area was monitored to prevent a resurgence of the fire. Over 1,500 personnel, including firefighters, armed police and aviation rescuers have been deployed to combat the wildfire.
