Meeting on small scale industries: MoCRD Union Minister gave opening remark

The Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe gave an opening remark at the meeting on work implementation in 2023-2024 fiscal year of the Small Scale Industries Department held at the assembly Hall of the Ministry, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 22nd May.

The Small Scale Industries Department is implementing to assure support for the sustainability of Micro-, Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) that prioritize import substitution, export production, and the use of domestically produced raw materials, in order to increase domestic production and generate employment opportunities which is one of the four economic objectives of the state. The department will implement the projects of creating small scale industries and boosting income of rural families in 155 villages in regions and states including Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw in 2023-2024 fiscal year. For the achievement of the projects, the necessary capital and machinery will be provided for those who have completed training of the department. The remarkable industries with high potentials will be selected to be implemented and those who achieved will be awarded decent prizes etc.

Next, the Union Minister posed for documentary photo together with the attendees and cordially greeted the personnel who will implement the projects and the leaders of the village groups.
