Local small businesses in China invited to apply for a scheme

In China, local small businesses are invited to apply for a scheme promoted by the economic bureau and the productivity and technology transfer centre to help SMEs digitalize their operations.

Since 2021, the government and the food and beverage industry have been rolling out subsidy programmes to support small- and medium-sized enterprises in digitalizing. Successful applicants can send their staff to attend a digital transformation course.

The application period for the 2024 edition of the scheme is split into two rounds, one in May and another in November. An explanation session for potential suppliers will be held on coming Monday.
