The Malaysian government will continue intensifying its efforts to introduce green hydrogen technology in the country to achieve the 12 billion ringgit revenue target by 2030 through the hydrogen economy. These efforts are also in line with the global decarbonization goals by 2050.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister said on Monday that the ministry is currently focusing on boosting demand, usage and generation of green hydrogen, including the construction of two hydrogen plants, during a media briefing following a demonstration of the Mobile Hydrogen Refuelling Unit and hydrogen-powered vehicles in Putrajaya.
