On November 11th, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation U Bo BoKyaw conducted an inspection of the construction site of a temporary embankment near Kyauk Chat Village in Zeyathiri Township.

The facility, situated on Sin Thay Creek, aims to store water under the Kyauk Chat Bridge area, providing irrigation for about 100 acres of farmland. With the anticipated El Nino weather conditions this year, the facility could also contribute to environmental greening activities.

Following the inspection, the Deputy Minister and party visited the Irrigation Canal of Ngalaik Dam in Pyinmana Township. Due to insufficient water inflow, the canal has been unable to irrigate 700 acres of farmland in its front section. To address this challenge, plans are underway to fill the canal with water from the PaungLaung River, ensuring the successful irrigation of the affected farmland.
