Industrial Development: MSME businesses in Ayeyawady Region inspected

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than together with the Ayeyawaddy Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win made inspections in Ayeyawaddy Region on Friday.

First, the Union Minister attended the discussion organized by Thinphyu mat business owners in Pantanaw Township and provided necessary instructions on the development of the Thinphyu mat business as it’s one of the value-added Agri-products.

He encouraged the business owners to conduct market research continuously and made advanced preparations to meet market demand. He also stated that, the ministry is actively working on the opening of MSME gallery to display local MSME products.

Then, the Chief Minister called for the collaborative efforts for development of MSME enterprises within the region. Next, the attendees presented reports on difficulties encountered and their needs, and the departmental officials supplemented the reports.

Upon reports, the Union Minister and Chief Minister coordinated necessities. On arrival at Global Earth Agro & Aqua Industry Public Company Limited, the Union Minister, Chief Minister and officials inspected the construction of rice-husk power station and refrigeration plant.

After hearing reports on current work implementations, the Union Minister urged on receiving necessary technology assistances and ensuring local food sufficiency. Then, the Chief Minister stressed on timely implementation of electricity generation projects using rice husks, and added that once the projects are implemented, job opportunities will also be created for the local residents.

On the same day, the Union Minister ad Chief Minister attended a meeting with the Rice Mill owners at Shwe Wah Nadi Rice Mill in Nyaungdon Township and heard reports on difficulties faced by the attendees and coordinated requirements.
