Forum of tourism development: MoHT UM gave an opening remark

The Union Minister for Hotel and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khine attended the Magway Region Tourism Industry development Forum held at Nan Htaik Thu Hotel in Magway Township in the morning on Thursday. Also present at the occasion were Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and region Ministers, Director General of the Directorate of Hotel and Tourism, members of regional tourism industry work committee, tourists destinations management committee members, responsible officials from Hoteliers’ Association, officials and students from Magway University.

First, the forum was opened with the music performance of “Beautiful Anya Myay”.

In her open remark, the Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khine said that after COVID-19 pandemic, the effort is putting for the restoring and development of Myanmar tourism industry like other countries with the public-private partnership form, the necessary assistance is being provided to solve the difficulties encountered by the private sector with the collaboration of related ministries and organizations, the ministry is implementing for the better Services, development of destinations and sustainable tourism industry,

The role of the regional tourism work committee and destination management committees is important for the development of tourists destination. Thus, it’s the purpose of organizing this tourism industry development forum etc.

Next, the region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin gave a remark on the implementations for the tourism industry development in Magway Region.

Next, “Voice of inviting from 5 districts” song and dances were presented and the attendees of destination management committee members and hoteliers discussed the related sectors and the Union Minister coordinated requirements.

Then, the video clip on Magway Region Tourism Industry was screened, Union Minister provided cash of honor to the performer groups, region Chief Minister presented memorable gifts to three speakers who will talk on the tourism industry and the documentary group photo was taken.

After that, the Union Minister and Chief minister viewed round the displays of local foods and commodities.
