Food Security and Economic Growth: MOALI Union Minister advocates three-season farming

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation U Min Naung met with farmers in Lewe Township on Sunday to discuss strategies for increasing crop production. In his address, the Union Minister emphasized the importance of cultivating crops throughout all three seasons to ensure food security and foster economic development in the country.

He highlighted the successful implementation of farming processes with the use of modern farm implements, coupled with necessary government assistance. He urged all farmers to actively contribute to the growth of the farming industry by effectively utilizing available opportunities.

During the meeting, mung bean and sunflower seeds were distributed to the farmers. The Union Minister and party also conducted an inspection of the thriving monsoon paddy plantation on a 200-acre model farm.
