Empowering Art: Uniting for Green Power in the Lancang-Mekong Region

With the theme "Green Power: Lancang-Mekong's New Day," the call for entries for the fifth edition of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Art and Design Award is currently underway.
The LMC art and design will focus on energy security cooperation, energy infrastructure projects, renewable energy, power grid modernization, photovoltaic industry, energy storage, electric vehicles, green development investment, and others, highlighting the LMC's value and significance.
The Launch Ceremony, held in Beijing on April 24th, saw the gathering of diplomats, scholars, business persons, and media professionals from the six LMC countries. The competition will run until November with an artwork submission deadline on October 7th.
In addition to the traditional poster design segment, the AI poster design competition has been introduced to elevate the technological substance of the contest.
The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Art & Design Award has been held regularly since 2020, and this year's event was co-hosted by the China Center for International Communication Development, Publicity and Education Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Yunnan University, Yunnan International Communication Center for South and Southeast Asia, Bangkok University of Thailand, National University of Laos, Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Fuqing School of Myanmar.
It was also co-organized by China General Nuclear Power Corporation, China International Water and Electric Corp of CCCG, Chinese Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation, and Beijing MW Foundation.
