Drugs seizure: Blocks of heroin worth 1.932 billion Kyats seized

138 blocks of heroin weighing out 48.3 Kilos worth 1.932 billion Kyats were seized in Kyaikto Township of Mon State, according to Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, the combined team comprising anti-narcotic drug task force searchedSUPERCUSTOM HIACE vehicle near Mayanchaung Village, Kyaikto Township at 3 PM on 30th March, driven by Lin Lin Phyoe from Yay Ni to Mawlamyaing and sieved 138 blocks of heroin weighing out 48.3 Kilos worth 1.932 billion Kyats. According to the investigation, it’s learnt that the blocks of heroin were carried from Shan State (South) to Mawlamyaing of Mon State.

The culprit has been taken action under the law and the investigation is underway to reveal the chain of offenders.
