Donation Ceremony: Donations for cyclone hit areas and inspection at schools

Mon State Chief Minister, Chairman of Young Men Buddhist Association U Aung Kyi Thein, Commander of Southeast Command Brig-Gen Soe Min, state government ministers, departmental personnels and other related officials and donors attended the handover ceremony of relief aids to cyclone-affected people.

The ceremony was organized by the Young Men Buddhist Association at the Myazedi Pariyatti Sarthintaik (Ye Kyaung) in Mawlamyaing on Thursday.  At first, the Chief Minister and officials donated the offertories to the Sayadaws and reported on the implementations tasks for donating to the cyclone-affected people.

Then the Chief Minister gave the certificates of honor to YMBA and the war veterans who donated clothes, foodstuffs worth of over 100 million kyats. The Chief Minister and party later visited the Basic Education High School No.7 (Mawlamyaing) and Basic Education High School No.1 and inspected the students learning lessons at the schools peacefully and happily. They also gave necessary instructions and fulfilled the needs.
