Diplomatic Relations: Appointment of Cuban Ambassador

According to the press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, the Government of Myanmar has agreed to the proposed appointment of Mr. Pedro Pablo San Jorge Rodriguez as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

He was born on 29thJune 1961 in Havana, Cuba. He holds a Bachelor Degree of International Economic Relations from Raul Roa Garcia Higher Institute of International Relations. He served as Economic Counsellor at the Embassy of Cuba in Chile from 1995 to 1997 and at the Embassies of Cuba in Belgium, Luxembourg, and European Institutions from 2006 to 2010, respectively.

From 2014 to 2018, he served as Ambassador of Cuba to Bulgaria and Non-resident Ambassador to North Macedonia and Albania.
