Development Works: Union Minister inspects infrastructure development works

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, together with officials, visited Training Schools for development of nationalities youth from border areas in PutaO on December 26th.  They met with the staff and students and provided cash assistance, school uniforms and stationery. They also inspected hostels and  mess as well as construction of extended buildings.

The Union Minister and party later visited Women Vocation Training School and instructed the staff and trainees to be skillful in vocational subjects and to provide assistance to establish thier own livelihood after completing the training. On arrival at Zeya Theikdhi Charity School, the Union Minister paid respect to the residing Sayadaw and provided foodstuff and cash assistance for the students. They also inspected the construction progress of 90 x 30 ft mess hall, donated by the Ministry in the school compound.

On the 27th, the Union Minister and party inspected the Kasan Kha Creek crossing Magwayza Bridge, and instructed for long term durability. They also inspected the arrangements for prevention of road erosion, temporary shelters for the commuters and opportunities to develop tour destination in the surrounding areas of 7,700 ft high Hsan Lut Chet Valley.

The Union Minister and party later inspected reconstruction of damaged bridge during monsoon, setting up of Rawan and Lisu statues as the landmarks of Khaung Lan Phu and durability of Ridem Suspension Bridge.

On the 28th, the Union Minister and party inspected development works in Khaung Lan Phu including construction of guest house, concrete paving, basic education high schook, chosen site for annex ward, gravel paving on the circular road, Rawan National Park and football ground, and sales condition in Myoma Market. On their way to Saranphar, the Union Minister and party inspected construction of earthen road, chosing road axis for adjacent road and chosen site for Ahtan creek crossing bridge.

The Union Minister also inspected chosen site for passengers and cargo truck terminals between Khaung Lan Phu and Ridem road section, viewpoint, extension of road embankment, clearing land erosion and gravel paving on Htala Htaw Village entrance road.

On arrival at the construction site of Maykha River crossing Ridem Bridge, the Union Minister heard reports on work progress and coordinated the needs. They then proceeded to Magwayza-Khaung Lan Phu Road construction project office and provided honorary cash to the engineers, members of Field Engineering Unit and workers.
