Coordination meeting: Meeting on Summoning People’s Military Service held

Members of State/District/Township Committees on Summoning People’s Military Service hold a work coordination meeting at the state government office on Tuesday along with the presence of Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein accompanying the state ministers.

At the meeting, Chairman of the State Committee on Summoning People’s Military Service, Mon State Chief Minister gave the opening speech. Continuously, Vice Chairman of the Committee, who is also Security and Border Affairs Minister explained about the work implementations for summoning people’s military Service while the Committee’s Secretary, who is also the Secretary of the State Government reported on the work plans of the State/District/Township Committees on Summoning People’s Military Service.

Later, the attendees Chairmen of the District/Township Committee on Summoning People’s Military Service clarified on the set work progress by its relevant sector, the State Ministers made round discussions and suggestions and on which, the Chief Minister coordinated the needs and gave concluding remarks.

In the afternoon, a work coordination meeting of Mon State Regional Tourism Work Committee (1/2024) was held in the at the State Government Office where the Chief Minister in attendance saying that Mon State has many good potentials to develop tourism since the prominent sacred pagodas, cetis, natural beautiful landscapes and cultural heritages are rich in the state.

And he called for the collective efforts for the development of Hotels and Tourism sector and implementing the new destination sites. Later, Director U Zeyar Tun from the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (Mon State) explained about the planned work measures for the tourism development in the state as well as the issuing of licenses for hotels, motels, guest houses and tour leaders in line with set disciplines and right after that, the Chief Minister coordinated the needs upon the suggestions given by the state ministers and committee members.
