Collective blood donation: MoL UM encouraged blood donors

By honoring and hailing the International Workers’ Day which will fall on 1st of May, the collective blood donation of the personnel from the Ministry of Labour was held at Nay Pyi Taw 1000-bed People’s Hospital and No (2) Tatmadaw Hospital (1000-bed) in the morning on 25th April and attended by the Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung, Deputy Minister U Win Shein and Senior officials and departmental officials.

At the blood donation ceremony, a total of 100 personnel under the Ministry of Labour donated blood with 50 personnel at Nay Pyi Taw 1000-bed People’s Hospital and another 50 at No (2) Tatmadaw Hospital (1000-bed). The Union Minister, Deputy Minister and Senior officials provided medicines and nutritious food to the blood donor personnel and encouraged the blood donation of the personnel.

Next, the Union Minister and officials donated 5 milion Kyats of cash assistance for the military personnel who are undertaking medical treatment at the No (2) Tatmadaw Hospital (1000-bed). The responsible officials accepted the cash donation and presented certificate of honor.

On 26th April, 50 personnel under the Ministry of Labour will donate blood at the No (2) Tatmadaw Hospital (1000-bed) and so altogether 150 personnel will donate blood, it’s learnt.
