Coal mine fire kills 4, injures 7

On Wednesday morning, an incident happened at Mining Station 2 of Thong Nhat Coal Company during production, resulting in the death of four workers. The excavation site where the incident occurred spans 23 square meters. The initial cause of the incident is determined to be a methane gas fire.

In addition to the four casualties, seven other injured workers are currently receiving treatment at Quang Ninh Provincial General Hospital. By 3 a.m., all victims had been evacuated from the site, concluding the search and rescue operation. The authorities and Thong Nhat Coal Company are now coordinating to support the victims’ families. The cause of the incident is under further investigation.
