Chilean derby suspended after fireworks hit cameraman and referee

The clash between Universidad de Chile and Universidad Católica, played 500 kilometers south of capital Santiago, in the city of Concepción, was suspended at the 31st minute of first half after fans launched fireworks and flares from the stands in the field.Several people were injured, including fourth referee, a cameraman and photographers, according to a preliminary report by local authorities.

Chile's President Gabriel Boric reacted on his Twitter account after the events, stating that they are not going to let a small group of criminals take the stadiums at the expense of the vast majority who come to see a show in peace and joy.
