Baseless Claims: Fake news circulation on social media

Baseless claims of fake and false news have been spread by Khit Thit media, including the false news of bomb blast near Yangon Region Hluttaw in Ahlone Township on December 1st, and drop bomb attacks at southeast command and Taungoo Air Base.

Concerning these news, the officials from the related military command responded that there were no such incidents in the said mentioned areas, and the security forces are carrying out necessary measures for ensuring regional peace, stability, security and rule of law.

Various destructive media outlets including Khit Thit media, are disseminating the fake and false news on social media platforms exploiting the recent incidents in the country, with the intention to cause panic among the public.
