Air Taxi eVTOL to be put into operation in 2026

The world’s first public eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft is expected to conduct manned flights in 2026, which will greatly shorten the travel time between Shenzhen and Zhuhai in south China’s Guangdong Province from around three hours to 20 minutes.

At present, the departments of operation, airspace management and civil aviation supervision are working together for its commercial operation. Once the aircraft acquired an airworthiness certificate, it will be put into operation on hundreds of air routes and take-off and landing points. According to the operator of the eVTOL aircraft, with the participation of new iterations of the aircraft, the cost of the flights will be greatly reduced.
