Ceremony to Mark 38th Anniv. of GAD : 38th Anniversary of GAD celebrated in Hopong

A ceremony to mark the 38th Anniversary of the General Administration Department (GAD) was held in Hopong Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South), on Saturday.

Chairman of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Leading Body U Khun Pho Sein delivered an address, noting that the General Administration Department had long played an important role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the State’s administrative machinery.

He also highlighted the department’s coordinated efforts in the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone to achieve its objectives of maintaining regional security, the rule of law and community peace and tranquility, promoting local development and serving the interests of the people.

Next, Secretary of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Leading Body U Myo Aung delivered an address. Afterwards, the chairman and members of Leading Body, together with officials from zone and township-level departments, watched a video clip featuring activities and highlights of the General Administration Department.
