The Tatmadaw True News Information Team has issued a press release stating that, in accordance with the long-standing friendly relations between Myanmar and Thailand and the ongoing enhancement of cooperation between the two-armed forces, consistent joint efforts are being made to ensure border stability and territorial security.

It has been observed that terrorist groups including the CRPH, NUG, and those operating under the names of the KNU, KNLA, and PDFs are engaging in terrorist attacks and illegal activities in border areas to harm the citizens of both nations.

Furthermore, they are employing various methods on online media to disseminate rumors aimed at misleading the public. Destructive media outlets, seeking to undermine sound bilateral relations, have been spreading baseless rumors including reports that warehouses on the Thai side would be destroyed with the intent of instilling fear among local residents along the border. These online news reports have been found to be entirely false. Relations between Myanmar and Thailand encompassing inter-governmental ties, military-to-military relations, and people-to-people and organizational connections remain robust across all sectors, with both nations holding the status of Natural Strategic Partners.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw places special emphasis on border stability and is continuously strengthening cooperation between the two-armed forces. Additionally, the peoples of both nations share a long-standing partnership of friendship.

With the intent of disrupting this bilateral amity, terrorist groups such as the KNU, KNLA, CRPH, NUG, and PDFs have been carrying out destructive acts along the border. Notably, a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun attack on October 29, 2026, resulted in injuries to a Thai citizen.

The relevant Thai military authorities have already been informed that weapons of this type are not utilized by the Myanmar Tatmadaw. Terrorist insurgents intentionally fired across the Thai border with the deliberate aim of damaging bilateral relations.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw expresses deep sympathy regarding the resulting injuries. Reaffirming its commitment to the existing friendly ties between the Myanmar and Thai armed forces, the press release emphasizes that the Myanmar Tatmadaw will never engage in actions that infringe upon the sovereignty of other countries.

Instead, it remains dedicated to enhancing bilateral cooperation, focusing exclusively on mutual development, the safety and peace of the citizens of both nations, and regional stability.
