Fueled by the semiconductor boom, South Korea's annual exports are expected to hit a record USD 1 trillion this November. Korea’s exports in October registered USD 115.28 billion. This is the second largest amount, following September exports which recorded USD 120 billion.

The stellar performance was powered again by semiconductors. Chips accounted for forty-nine percent of October exports, amounting to USD 56.44 billion. The figure was over 3.5 times higher than that of October, 2025. Global big tech companies eager to invest in artificial intelligence facilities still scramble to buy up chips, so demand did not fall despite rising prices.
