Chinese President Xi Jinping greets Sultan of Oman in Beijing

Chinese President Xi Jinping held welcome ceremony and a bilateral meeting with Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

The Omani Sultan arrived in Beijing on Sunday for a two-day state visit to China. Following the welcoming ceremony, the two leaders held an expanded bilateral meeting to review strategic ties and evaluate ongoing cooperation.

Discussions focused on expanding cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), with a key emphasis on trade, energy (including renewable energy), logistics, artificial intelligence (AI), manufacturing, food security, and space exploration.
