Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 54th PRAGATI meeting in New Delhi on Thursday, reviewing infrastructure projects worth over 16 million dollars spanning 31 States and Union Territories.

During the meeting, Modi called for expediting the redevelopment of major railway station, turning them into seamless multimodal transport hubs with direct metro and local network connectivity. He also asked the concerned ministries to resolve bottlenecks in mission mode, strengthen coordination among different agencies, and ensure close monitoring at the highest level.

The PRAGATI meeting is a multi-modal platform launched in 2015 to fast-track long-pending projects and resolve inter-ministerial bottlenecks under direct the Prime Minister oversight.
