Russia's Putin meets with Egyptian counterpart in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at the Kremlin in Moscow on the sidelines of the third Russia-Africa Summit. Both leaders reviewed progress on the Rosatom-built El Dabaa nuclear plant in Egypt, following the reactor pressure vessel installation for power unit number 2 in July 2026.

Discussions included plans for establishing a Russian Industrial Zone within the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
