Anthropic plans record IPO, Meta to sell new shares

AI developer Anthropic has released filing documents for its planned initial public offering. The Wall Street Journal says the US Company may raise as much as 100 billion dollars through the share sale.

The share sale is expected between mid- and late-November and Anthropic will be listed on the Nasdaq market. Technology giant Meta also announced that it plans to raise up to 95 billion dollars through sales of new shares this year and next.  The company says the cash will be used to fund its AI expansion. Meta has earmarked 145 billion dollars for capital investment in 2026. Meta says chipmakers Nvidia, Broadcom and AMD may buy as much as 5 billion dollars of the shares.
